Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Johnson Controls Arabia (JCA), a leader in energy efficiency and smart building solutions, has been awarded the prestigious Sustainability Champion Award at the 14th Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF). The award ceremony took place under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Mr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing.
JCA has continuously championed the integration of energy-efficient solutions that align with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative. This recognition further strengthens JCA's position to create a greener, more sustainable future in the Kingdom.

For example, our customers saved more than SAR 200 million in energy and operational savings since 2020. We have one of Johnson Controls’ only 8 Net-Zero Centers in our YORK Manufacturing Complex” said Dr. Mohanad Alshaikh, CEO of Johnson Controls Arabia.
This award recognizes JCA’s remarkable contributions to advancing sustainable building solutions and its relentless commitment to promoting energy efficiency through cutting-edge technologies. The company's pioneering efforts in the field have made it one of the first “Class A” Energy Services Companies (ESCO) in Saudi Arabia, reflecting its leadership in driving sustainable practices across strategically important sectors such as data centers.
During this event, Eng. Maher Mousa, Regional Director of Product Management & Compliance at JCA, took part in a panel discussion on “Strengthening Urban Resilience.” He emphasized the critical role of merging technological innovations with environmental solutions to boost urban sustainability.
“Smart urban design as a key factor in addressing climate change challenges and there is a necessity for public-private sector collaborations to meet sustainable development goals. Adopting locally viable sustainability technologies and driving digital transformation can significantly enhance building efficiency and help achieve net-zero emissions,” he added.
The Saudi Green Building Forum serves as a vital platform for industry leaders and policymakers to collaborate on green initiatives, exploring topics such as nature-based solutions, innovative technologies, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
