JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – Johnson Controls Arabia (JCA), a regional leader in smart building systems and energy efficiency solutions, has announced the export of 5,400 YORK® Hi-End R32 Inverter Hi-Wall air conditioning units to the Egyptian market. The units will be deployed in one of the landmark real estate developments by ORA, as part of a strategic partnership with Raya Electronics, a subsidiary of Raya Trading and Distribution, which is itself a part of Raya Holding for Financial Investments.
This milestone marks a new chapter in Johnson Controls Arabia’s efforts to position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a leading industrial and export hub globally, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and boost non-oil exports.
The YORK® Hi-End R32 Inverter Hi-Wall units stand out for their high energy efficiency, leveraging the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for smart temperature and air quality control. These features enable intelligent energy management and optimized operational performance. The units are developed with the support of Johnson Controls Arabia’s R&D Center in Jeddah, tailored to meet the needs of diverse regional markets and ensure reliable performance in varying environments.

All exported units are proudly produced under the “Saudi Made” label at the YORK Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City—the largest Johnson Controls facility in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The factory exports more than 30% of its output to 26 countries worldwide, including the United States and China. Meanwhile, more than 80% of the company’s total sales are met by locally manufactured products, underscoring the deep industrial and technological localization within the Kingdom.
