Expansive capacity range fueled by high to medium heat sources.
YORK® Absorption Heat Pumps harness a range of heat sources to save energy, water, and reduce CO2 emissions. They're perfect for district heating and industrial process applications, offering advanced two-step evaporator and absorber technology for improved efficiency and reliability compared to traditional designs. They come in two types to suit your different heating needs.
YORK® YHAP-C Absorption Heat Pump features an innovative two-step evaporator and absorber design, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
With two types and flexible heat source compatibility, our absorption heat pumps suit diverse industrial heating needs.
Superior engineering, support and service simplify the operating cycle and reduce the cost of ownership.
YORK® YHAP-C Absorption Heat Pumps feature a unique two-step evaporator design with dual pressure levels, splitting the absorption process. Chilled water circulates through tubes in both evaporators, while a concentrated lithium bromide solution is distilled in the absorber shell, moving in the opposite direction.
This reduces solution concentration and overall pressure, enhancing efficiency and reliability compared to traditional absorption chillers.
The Type I heat pump, known as a heat amplifier, utilizes a high-temperature waste heat source in the generator section and a low-temperature waste heat source in the evaporator section. By combining these two heat sources, the Type I unit produces valuable medium-temperature heat from the absorber and condenser sections. With an impressive COP of up to 1.7, it provides hot water up to 95°C (203°F) for diverse heating needs
The Type II heat pump, also called a heat transformer, is powered by a medium-temperature waste heat source in the generator and evaporator sections. This unit efficiently converts and delivers high-temperature heat from the absorber section. Additionally, the heat released from the condenser can be utilized for cooling other applications. With a COP of 0.47, the Type II heat pump can supply high-temperature hot water, reaching up to 140°C (284°F), making it a suitable choice for industrial processes.
