YORK® YHAU-CW Chillers use a unique two-step evaporator design with dual pressure levels, enhancing the absorption process. Chilled water circulates through both evaporators, while concentrated lithium bromide solution is distilled in the absorber shell, reducing overall pressure.
This innovative approach lowers the solution concentration and overall pressure, resulting in enhanced efficiency and reliability compared to conventional absorption chillers.
The parallel flow cycle splits the solution flow into two parallel, well-balanced paths for both the low- and high-temperature generators. By combining our two-step and parallel flow design, the unit operates more safely and efficiently at significantly reduced pressure compared to traditional series-flow designs.
This innovative approach results in a lower LiBr concentration, enabling the use of a lower-grade driving heat source and achieving a high coefficient of performance (COP).
